Press-fit in metal base.
Do you want to press-fit contacts into a metal base (stamped grids, busbars, lead frames) or aluminum elements?
In principle, this is possible.
But there are a few things to consider, because most press-fit contacts are designed for the properties of FR4 PCBs.
The hardness of the metal rail is important. Optimal results are achieved when the contact and metal rail are properly matched.
